PoCo City Hall – Favourite Border

Following along with pictures of the perennial bed behind City Hall, here are a few taken at the end of May. You can see others taken earlier in the spring under this classification (March 24 & May 2). The bed is still looking good, with lots of foliage and flowers; we’ll revisit it again during the season.

In reply to our earlier post on this border, Laura recommended a bed “at Shaughnessy just North of Lougheed Hyw”. I think that this is the bed that she was talking about – I hadn’t noticed it before – I think because concentration is on other things when you’re driving. I have to admit that it is quite beautiful.

Just wait a few more weeks & it will be bursting with colour! I love how they intermingled the perennials, shrubs & small tree’s together. They’ve done some great work to that otherwise forgotten corner!
